Once a year, the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology gather the bright minds of innovators and industry experts working in pulmonology and thoracic care to meet and share the latest technological developments, breakthroughs and guidelines for thoracic diseases. Optellum joined this year’s event, in Nashville, Tennessee, exhibiting at the 5th Annual Interventional Pulmonology and Advanced Diagnostics Conference.
This year’s conference was a hybrid event (in-person and virtual), and along with Optellum’s virtual booth, the team’s physical presence facilitated forming new relationships and initiating forward-thinking conversations.
There was considerable interest in the recently announced Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) payment classification code, under the New Technology Ambulatory Payment Classification, for the use of Optellum’s Lung Cancer Prediction technology. Conversations with delegates reinforced the fact that AI technology is being recognized as a valuable asset at the forefront of innovation in pulmonary care – a theme prominent at the AABIP conference.
